ANZELA Scholarship
There may be offered to members of ANZELA one scholarship each year, each to the value of up to $3,000AUD, (adjusted from time to time) to be used for furthering the objectives of ANZELA, adding to the knowledge and practice of education law, offering an Australian and New Zealand perspective to international education law matters, and personal knowledge and presentation experience.
Dr Ann Shorten Doctoral Award
From 2009, ANZELA introduced an annual Dr Ann Shorten Doctoral Award for the best thesis in education law research.
The award consists of a citation from ANZELA and a grant of up to $2,000 for the awardee to attend the annual ANZELA Conference and present the findings of their research. The conference registration fee to attend the Conference is paid from this $2,000.

NSW Chapter Scholarship and Grants
The NSW Chapter offers one scholarship and two grants for eligible persons to attend the ANZELA National Conference each year. The Committee encourages NSW lawyers; and teachers, administrators and others employed in NSW public, private or independent schools or in the Tertiary sector, TAFE and other vocational post-school institutions; and students in either law or education, who would not otherwise be funded by their employer or institution to apply. Committee members, who are currently on the NSW Chapter Committee cannot apply for NSW grants and Scholarships.
The Scholarships are:
The Robert Horton Memorial Scholarship is offered by the NSW Chapter of ANZELA to teachers, educational administrators, or early career lawyers with an interest in education to extend the reach and knowledge of the practice of education law. It is offered each year with a value of up to $3,000 to, in part, enable the recipient to attend the ANZELA Annual Conference.
Two Chapter Grants are offered by the NSW Chapter to students in either education or law, teachers, educational administrators, or lawyers with an interest in education to extend the reach and knowledge of the practice of education law. It is offered each year with a value of up to $2,000 to, in part, enable the recipient to attend the ANZELA Annual Conference.
Applications open on June 1 and will close on July 31 each year.

Certificate of Appreciation
The Certificates of Appreciation are awarded to members for: the development of ANZELA; the furthering of ANZELA's objectives and goals at the local, Australian and International levels; and the field of Education Law through publication, learning and teaching, and professional development of others.

Victorian Chapter Annual Conference Award
Would you like assistance to attend this year’s conference in Cairns? The theme of the 2018 conference is Capricorn and beyond: new frontiers in education and law. This theme explores new developments in education and law, with a particular emphasis on innovative ways of meeting traditional challenges and the needs of regional communities. For this ANZELA conference we want to extend our horizons beyond compliance and risk aversion, and look to new opportunities.
The conference is being held at the Rydges Esplanade Resort Cairns, on October 2-4 2018. For more information about the conference go to anzela.edu.au.
The Victorian Chapter committee is offering one award to a member of our chapter to help them attend this conference. The award will cover the conference registration fee.
