ANZELA Scholarship

There may be offered to members of ANZELA one scholarship each year, each to the value of up to $3,000AUD, (adjusted from time to time) to be used for furthering the objectives of ANZELA, adding to the knowledge and practice of education law, offering an Australian and New Zealand perspective to international education law matters, and personal knowledge and presentation experience.

Dr Ann Shorten Doctoral Award

From 2009, ANZELA introduced an annual Dr Ann Shorten Doctoral Award for the best thesis in education law research.

The award consists of a citation from ANZELA and a grant of up to $2,000.00 for the awardee to attend the annual ANZELA Conference and present the findings of their research.

NSW Chapter Scholarships

The NSW Chapter will soon provide scholarships for persons to attend the ANZELA National Conference to be held in Carins on 2-4 October 2018.

The Robert Horton Memorial Scholarship will be available to those in the education profession with an interest in education law, including teachers, principals and administrators, and provides $3,000 to cover conference fees, accommodation and transport costs.

There are also two NSW Chapter Scholarships available to those with an interest in education law, including early career lawyers, teachers, principals and administrators. Each provides between $1,500 and $2,000 to cover conference fees and some accommodation and transport costs.

Applications will open on 21 May and close on 29 June 2018. Further information and application forms will be available on this website soon under the NSW Chapter.

Certificate of Appreciation

The Certificates of Appreciation are awarded to members for: the development of ANZELA; the furthering of ANZELA's objectives and goals at the local, Australian and International levels; and the field of Education Law through publication, learning and teaching, and professional development of others.

Victorian Chapter Scholarship

The Victorian Chapter committee is offering three awards of assistance to members of our chapter to attend the 2014 conference.  These awards will cover the cost of registration to attend the conference.  Applications close on July 31, 2014
